Our 2,000 Kona Coffee trees produce a limited supply of about 2,500 lbs of premium roasted coffee per season. We are small enough to carefully manage every detail to ensure the best coffee possible.
Our coffee is grown in partial shade. This keeps the trees healthy to fight off diseases and reduces the need to fertilize. Shade does reduce the yield per tree, however the tree produce large coffee cherries that ripen slower and help increase the flavor.
We are not certified Organic, but we follow most of these practices in caring for the trees and land. We don’t use any pesticides or Herbicides on the coffee. This requires hours of hard work weekly weed whacking and hand vine removal. We find the trees are stronger and healthier and the short grass top soil does not dry out in the stressful dry season.
