When we decided to retire early we imagined traveling the world or playing pickle ball and sleeping in. However after running a successful fast pace business for 25 years we just were not ready to slow down. While visiting friends in beautiful Kona, Hawaii we became intrigued with farming in paradise and we love coffee! In 2018 we took the plunge and bought a half century old farm in the heart of the Kona coffee belt that has been producing delicious coffee for generations. Farming is very physical, and the pay is terrible. We spend hours each week cutting weeds, pulling vines, and pruning out beetle damage because we choose to not use herbicides, nor pesticides. It‘s a labor of love working the Farm with our family and suppling customers the best coffee possible.
We founded Morning Glory Farms on our love of quality coffee. We grow, process, and roast our coffee using the traditional Kona Estate methods that have proven to provide the best gourmet coffee in the world. We only produce about 2,500 pounds of roasted coffee per season. That‘s enough coffee for our family & about 100 avid coffee customers.
